1. Don’t judge a book by its cover
Last week, I was reminded not to judge a book by its cover. Or in this case, the interior of a building on its facade.
Wandsworth Town Hall is so grey and dour as to cast a shadow on the entire Wandsworth one-way system, helping to repel the vehicles from within it. It’s a building I’ve passed several thousand times and have never once thought of entering until last week, when my sister’s legal marriage ceremony called for it.
While the exterior frowns, the interior shines with marble and textured wood panelling, creating the perfect backdrop for what was to be an incredible day celebrating the marriage of Henny and Mike. We were all struck by the beauty of the building, which set the tone for the remainder of the day. Congrats, big sis!

2. Some things I enjoyed reading this week
Here are a few articles I enjoyed reading this week:
An article my Dad shared on LinkedIn, which provides an excellent framework for internal company communications.
The internet is awash with AI-related content at the moment, and most of it falls into one of three categories: dogmatic tech bro nonsense, scaremongering, or salesly bullsh*t. I think this article does a good job of breaking down how AI will disrupt knowledge work, but it also explains why this isn’t necessarily a bad thing.
Have a great week, all 🙏
Wow the contrast of the interior to the exterior is wild!
